How To Get Senior Citizens To Vote For Marijuana Reform

Statistically speaking, senior citizens are the most likely demographic to oppose marijuana reform. That’s a big problem when you also consider the fact that senior citizens vote at a higher rate than anyone else. Whenever I look at polling for certain campaign efforts, I always look at the senior citizen polling first. I always sit and daydream about how easy it would be to end marijuana prohibition in state after state if the marijuana reform movement was able to get even a small percentage of those ‘no’ senior citizen voters to change to the ‘yes’ side.

BETHEL — First, it was testicular cancer. Then tumors were found in his lungs.

And when those had finally shrunk — thanks to an aggressive chemotherapy and radiation — Brian Tomasulo learned that the cancer had spread to his brain.

After collapsing at work one day in May 2014, the Newtown resident was rushed to the hospital, where he had surgery to remove an egg-sized tumor from his frontal cortex.

Could Philly become the next cannabis capital?

Greenhouse Ventures hosts its first Demo Day Dec. 5

With the cannabis industry booming in states like Colorado, Washington and California, it may be surprising that a new startup has decided to take root in Philadelphia. While marijuana laws are certainly more relaxed in the city thanks to legislation decriminalizing small amounts of weed, Pennsylvania is hardly a bastion of progressive thought when it comes to marijuana legislation. But that could change with the introduction of Greenhouse Ventures’ first Demo Day on Dec. 5.
