The AGCO begins issuing 10 cannabis Retail Store Authorizations per week
On September 1, the AGCO announced the Government of Ontario’s direction to double the pace of cannabis Retail Store Authorizations (RSA) beginning this fall, from 20 to 40 per month.
The AGCO is pleased to confirm that as of September 28, it will move from issuing five to 10 RSAs each week. The AGCO has been directly contacting all affected retail store applicants to advise them of the change to the timing of the issuance of their store authorizations.
To date, the AGCO has issued 194 RSAs and 173 authorized cannabis retail stores are currently open. View an interactive map of proposed and authorized cannabis retail stores across the province, as well as the current status of all Retail Store Authorization applications.
The AGCO continues to work with the Government of Ontario on opportunities to increase the number of cannabis Retail Store Authorizations (RSAs) that can be issued each month.
